Digital Escapes Studio ("we", "us") operates the Color Her Courage website and app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
We have tried to write this in plain language. If anything is unclear, email info@afrodiasporan.cloud and we'll explain it.
The short version
- You can use the free pages without giving us anything at all. No account, no email. What you color stays in your own browser.
- If you buy the full book, we store your email address and your saved artwork.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
What we collect
If you never create an account
Nothing that identifies you. The free coloring pages save your progress in your own browser's local storage (IndexedDB). That data stays on your device. We cannot read it, and it is lost if you clear your browser data or switch devices.
If you buy the book
- Email address — to create your account, confirm your purchase, and let you sign back in.
- Purchase record — what you bought, when, the amount, and a transaction identifier from Stripe.
- Your saved artwork — the pages you have colored, stored so they follow you across devices.
- Dedication text, if you use that feature — see the note below.
Automatically
Our hosting and backend providers keep standard server logs, which can include IP address, browser type, and pages requested. These are used to keep the service running and secure.
We also use our hosting provider's built-in site statistics (Lovable Analytics) to count visits and page views, including the page viewed, device type, and country. We use this only to understand overall traffic. We do not use it to build profiles of individuals, and we do not use advertising trackers.
A note about dedications
The app lets you add a dedication to a page — for example, a person's name. That text is stored with your artwork and appears on the image you download or share.
If you write someone else's name, you are putting another person's information into our service. Please only do that for someone who would be comfortable with it. We treat dedication text as your content and do not use it for anything other than rendering your artwork.
Why we're allowed to hold it
Depending on where you live, the law may require us to name a lawful basis:
- To perform our contract with you — your account, your purchase, and your saved artwork.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure and working.
- Legal obligation — retaining transaction records for tax and accounting.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers, and only to run the service:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Account and purchase records — for as long as your account exists, and afterwards where tax or accounting law requires it (commonly up to 7 years).
- Saved artwork — until you delete it or close your account.
- Browser storage on free pages — controlled entirely by you; clear your browser data and it's gone.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- show you what we hold about you
- correct anything wrong
- delete your account and artwork
- send you a copy of your data
- stop processing your data in certain circumstances
Email info@afrodiasporan.cloud and we'll action it. We may need to confirm who you are first. We will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Security
We use reputable providers, serve everything over HTTPS, and keep purchased content behind server-side access checks rather than trusting the browser. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't promise that it is.
Children
This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email info@afrodiasporan.cloud and we will delete it.
This is not medical advice
The coloring pages and affirmations in this app are for creative and personal use. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and nothing here is a substitute for talking to your doctor or care team.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for anything significant, tell account holders by email.
